Luckily, as a teenager I never had to deal with any crazy breakouts. Now, even as an adult, I still rarely ever break out. When I do, it’s usually caused by stress or diet. Even though I do not get breakouts often, I still freak out like most people do when it happens. Pesky blemishes and pimples that pop-up out of nowhere are my worst skincare fears. Twenty days ago, I started using Evologie Clear Skin Kit, a 3-step system for clearing acne and blemishes. The product claims to also help:
“skin replenish, repair and rejuvenate itself, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. With continued use, see healthier, smoother, radiantly younger skin day after day.”
Evologie attributes the success of their products to their patent-pending YS3 Complex, a blend of amino acids, Arginine-EE and L-Arginine – found in skincare products. The combination of the two are celebrated for it’s water-locking properties to promote skin hydration. The product I love the most out of the three is the Stay Clear Cleaner. It’s feels soft and silky smooth on my skin, and is fragrance-free. I use this cleanser twice a day and have found that it has actually been clearing up my skin. I normally like a cleanser with beads since I feel like it really cleans out my pores, but this cleanser definitely does the job, and it doesn’t dry out my skin. I also am a fan of the Intensive Blemish Serum. Before the No Makeup Challenge started this month, I had some 2 brown spots under my chin from a blemish that left a scar. The serum has really lightened up the spots and you can’t really tell that they even exist on my face. Just check out my selfies from my No Makeup Update posts. You can apply this serum all over,
but I like to just use a small drop on my problem areas.Unfortunately, I had to stop using the Stay Clear Cream three days into the process. The moisturizer just sat on my face and didn’t really absorb well into my skin. When I reached out to the company, I was given this explanation:
It’s possible that you may be sensitive in the salicylic acid in the cream and that is why it is not moisturizing enough for you. The difference between the Serum and Cream is that the Serum is a spot treatment to quickly clear blemishes. The Cream helps prevent further breakouts and hydrates skin. Once blemishes clear you stop using the Serum and continue using the Cream.
I actually love the serum, so I continued to use it and just followed up with another moisturizer. The cleanser and serum have been working as a great duo for my skin! While the products work best together, you can also use the products individually.
