Bye Bye Breakouts: Using Tea Tree Face Mask

No matter what day of the week it is, I love setting aside some time for a good face mask. I find them so relaxing and calming, especially after a long day at work. I have many favorites and am always trying new ones on the market, but the one I always come back to is the The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Face Mask. I was first introduced to The Body Shop’s Tea Tree line back in the summer of 2014. At the time, I was dealing with random breakouts and wanted to minimize the issue as much as possible. An associate there (with mighty glowing skin) recommended the line to me and I’ve been hooked ever since. Hooked, meaning I own every product in the Tea Tree line. Yeah, never turn down advice from someone with amazing skin.

This is my go-to mask. After applying it all over my face, my skin feels so refreshed from the tingling and cooling sensation that it delivers. You’re supposed to remove it after 15 minutes, but I like to keep it on for an extra 5 minutes, just because. After removing the mask with warm water, my skin looks plumper, and feels extra smooth to the touch. The ‘plump’ look is due to an ingredient called Cyclopentasiloxane. Used mainly in beauty and hair care products, it’s a chemical that smoothes the skin by locking in the moisture. I feel like I’m saying hello to gorgeous skin, and waving a big fat goodbye to breakouts… you know, the breakouts that I’m currently keeping at bay with this face mask.

What’s your favorite face mask? Does it target any of your skin concerns/issues? Tell me in the comments section below!

Oh, I didn’t know about Cyclopentasiloxane! Thanks! I’m always looking for hydrating masks. I fell in love with the Fresh Rose Face Mask at a free Sephora facial, but it’s way out of my price range, so I’m on the hunt for something that gives the same moisturizing effects for a cheaper price.

My mouth just dropped, I have never heard of this product before and I want it. AND it has tea tree in it… what?! Thank you for enabling my addiction. Haha. But seriously, thank you for sharing this. <3 My favorite mask right now is the Bliss Multi-Face-Eted Mask, it's like all of the GlamGlow's in one…

I love The Body Shop! Their Tea Tree Mask is one of my favorite products too. 😀 It feels so nice during and after using it. I am using it to dimish my blemishes more quickly and it’s working. I learned something new today too about cyclopentasiloxane. ^^

Ooh, I’ve heard great things about this mask and also ones from Lush. Currently I’m using the Origins active charcoal mask and I’ve had a chance to sample the supermud by GLAMGLOW. I definitely think I need to give this a try because I’m still in such an experimenting phase when it comes to finding the perfect mask! 🙂
